Abstract

Un aparato y un método para suministrar transdémicamente un agente biologicamente activo que comprende un sistema de suministro que posee un miembro (o sistema) de microproyeccion que incluye una pluralidad de microproyecciones (o una disposicion de las mismas) que están adaptadas para penetrar la capa cornea hacia el interior de la capa de epidermis subyacente, o de la capa de epidermis y de dermis. En una realizacion, un agente basado en Epoyetina está contenido en un recubrimiento biocompatible que es aplicado al miembro de microproyeccion. En una realizacion adicional, el sistema de suministro incluye un ôgel packö que posee una formulacion de hidrogel que contiene un agente basado en Epoyetina que es dispuesta sobre el miembro de microproyeccion luego de la aplicacion la piel de un paciente. En una realizacion alternativa, el agente basado en Epoyetina está contenido tanto en el recubrimiento como en la formulacion de hidrogel.
