Abstract

La presente se refiere a proteínas de subunidad de AGP quiméricas y polinucleóticos que codifican a las proteínas quiméricas. La presente provee enzimas AGP mutantes que comprenden una subunidad quimérica de la misma que son menos sensibles a fosfato inorgánico que las enzimas AGP del tipo salvaje. En una realización, la subunidad de AGP es una subunidad pequena de una enzima AGP de planta. La presente también se refiere a plantas que comprenden un polinucleótico que codifica una proteína de subunidad de AGP quimérica de la presente; también presenta métodos para producir una planta que comprende un polinucleótido de la presente. Las plantas producidas de acuerdo con la presente comprende enzimas AGP que son menos sensibles al fosfato inorgánico que la enzima AGP del tipo salvaje. Reivindicación 1: Un polinucleótido que codifica una proteína de subunidad ADP glucosa pirofosforilasa (AGP) quimérica, en donde dicha proteína quimérica comprende una secuencia de terminal N de una región de terminal N de una subunidad de AGP de una primera planta y una secuencia de terminal C de una región de terminal C de una subunidad de AGP de una segunda planta.
