Abstract
La presente está dirigida hacia un gen que comprende un polinucleotido que codifica un polipéptido compuesto por una secuencia de aminoácidos representada por la identificacion SEQ ID N. : 1; un producto de expresion de un gen, producido por expresion del gen; un vector de expresion recombinante que incluye el gen; una célula huésped (transformante) que alberga el vector de expresion recombinante; una proteína compuesta por aminoácidos que tienen una secuencia de aminoácidos representada por identificacion SEQ ID N. : 1; una composicion terapéutica o preventiva para hipoglucemia que contiene como componente activo el gen o la proteína mencionados precedentemente; y un anticuerpo capaz de enlazarse a la proteína. Mediante el uso del gen o de un producto de expresion de éste de la presente invencion es posible dilucidar la patología de la diabetes y desarrollar medicamentos para el tratamiento y la prevencion de la diabetes por vía de un nuevo mecanismo de accion.
