Abstract

Un artículo absorbente incluye por lo menos una barrera de contencion multi-capa que está configurada para evitar el flujo de los exudados del cuerpo a lolargo de la superficie del artículo absorbente. La barrera de contencion incluye capasmultiples de material. Cada una de las capas define un borde interiorque permanece por lo menos parcialmente sin sujetarse a las otras capas para permitir que los exudados del cuerpo fluyan hacia adentro del área entre lascapas, cuando el productoestá en uso , para lograr una contencion y absorcion mejoradas de los exudados. En una realizacion particular, el artículo absorbentepuede incluir un par de barreras de contencion, las cuales están espaciadas y separadas lateralmente paraproporcionar un espacio hueco entre las nalgas delusuario y la superficie del artículo absorbente para contener los exudados del cuerpo. En tal configuracion, el artículo absorbente puede además incluir un parde aletas de contencion que se extiendenlongitudinalmente local izadas sobre los bordes laterales del artículo, lateralmente hacia afuera desde las barreras decontencion para lograr una contencion mejorada. Alternativamente, las barreras de contencion pueden localizarse entre la capa delámina superior y el cuerp oabsorbente del artículo absorbente. En tal configuracion, la capa de lámina superior define una abertura, la cual está localizada por lo menos parcialmentesobre las barreras de contencion para recibir los exudadosfecales.
