Abstract

La invención provee un artículo absorbente que posee una cubierta permeable al líquido, un deflector impermeable al líquido y un absorbente con porcioneslaterales longitudinales ubicadas entre dichos elementos. La cubierta y/o el deflector seexti enden más allá de las porciones laterales longitudinales paraformar bordes laterales longitudinales del artículo absorbente. El artículo absorbente también incluye una barrera lateral integral formada frunciendo losbordes lateraleslongitudinales hacia adentro, en dirección al absorbente. En una realización preferida, las barreras laterales longitudinales integralestienen un elemento tensor que se asegura a dichas barreras.
