Abstract

Un neumático para ruedas de vehículos y un método para pronosticar y controlar el desgaste en la banda de rodamiento de dicho neumático basado en eluso de cortes de una profundidad limitada (en el orden de la décima parte de un milímetro)form ados en la superficie exterior de la banda de rodamiento, en elespesor del material elastómero. El corte es realizado preferentemente mediante la tecnología del rayo láser. La rotación del neumático sobre un camino o sobrecualquier superficiede fric ción permite que el desgaste irregular de la banda de rodamiento sea resaltado por puntos localizados desprovistos de cortes,a serverificados rápidamente inspeccionando el estado de mantenimiento de dichos cortes y la velocidad dedesgaste del n eumático, que puede ser deducida delcálculo del tiempo transcurrido entre la desaparición de dos grupos de cortes de diferente profundidad. Un neumático para ruedas de vehículos que comprendeuna carcasa de forma tórica y una bandade rodamiento dis puesta a modo de corona con respecto a dicha carcasa, caracterizándose porque en por lo menosuna porción circunferencial de la superficie radialmente externa de dicha banda de rodamiento se forman numerosos cortes radiales,siendo la profundida d, elancho y la distancia entre sí de dichos cortes tales que, mientras el neumático corre, no se provoca una movilidad en la porción de dicha banda comprendidaentre pares de cortes adyacentes con respecto a la porción de banda radialment e mas interna que no se corta.
