Abstract
Método para producir una planta transgénica que comprende los pasos de: (1) insertar en el genoma de una célula vegetal una molécula de ADNrecombinante de cadena doble que comprende: (i) un promotor que funciona en las células de un tejido vegetal de destino; (ii) una secuencia de ADN estructuralque provoca la producción de una secuencia de ARN que codifica una enzima sacarosa fosforilasa; (iii) una secuencia 3 no traducida de ADN que funcionaen las células vegetales para producir la terminación transcripcional y el agregado de nucleótidos poliadenilados al extremo 3 de la secuencia de ARN;(b) obtener células vegetales transformadas; y (c) regenerar a partir de las células vegetales transformadas plantas transformadas genéticamente cuyo genomacontiene dicha molécula de ADN de doble cadena del paso (a).
