Abstract
Un aparato para la fabricación de un componente de chasis de un vehículo usando técnicas de extrusión por tracción de fibras compuestas incluye una omás fuentes de un material fibroso. Se provee una cubeta o una estructura similar paraaplic ar el material de resina a los materiales fibrosos desdelas fuentes. Seguido a la aplicación de la resina, los materiales fibrosos son traccionados a través de una matriz. La matriz está formada por una aberturaa través de la misma la cualcorrespon de en forma a la forma de corte transversal del componente del chasis del vehículo que se va a fabricar.Como los materiales fibrosos son traccionados a través de la matriz, estos se conforman en la forma de la abertura formadaa través de la misma. Por causade la resina aplicada a los mismos, los materiales fibrosos se adhieren unos con otros para formar una extrusión por tracción que retiene la forma de laabertura formada a través de la matriz. La extrusión portracción formada es entonces traccionada a través de un horno curador el cual calienta laresina hasta una temperatura de curado predeterminada, causando que ésta endurezca en una condición rígida. Como resultado, la extrusión portracciónadquiere una rigi dez deseada en su totalidad. El movimiento de los materiales fibrosos y de la extrusión por tracción es efectuado mediante un dispositivode tracción. Seguido del pasaje a través del dispositivo de tracción, la extrusiónpor tracción es corta da en las longitudes deseadas mediante unamáquina cortadora convencional. Además, se pueden formar aberturas de las formas y tamanos deseados en la extrusión por tracción mediante perforadoraconvencional.
