Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse inkluderer sammensetninger som innbefatter minst første og andre polymerer og eventuelt en tredje polymer hvori sure underenheter, basiske underenheter og elastomere underenheter er inkludert i polymerene. I et aspekt innbefatter sammensetningen en ternær polymerblanding som innbefatter en sur polymer som innbefatter sure underenheter, en basisk polymer som innbefatter basiske underenheter og en elastomerpolymer som innbefatter elastomere underenheter. I et alternativt aspekt innbefatter sammensetningen en binær polymerblanding som innbefatter sure og basiske underenheter i en polymer og en kopolymer som innbefatter den andre av de sure og basiske underenhetene og en elastomerunderenhet. Slike polymersammensetninger kan dannes til en membran som har elektrokjemiske egenskaper som muliggjør anvendelse av en slik membran i en elektrokjemisk anordning.
