A material distributer comprising two centrifugal discs 5 mounted on vertical shafts 5a and driven by a tractor power take-off via a gear-box 4 also comprises a rotary agitator 9 connected to vertical shaft 6 by a universal joint 10 which shaft 6 is driven from the gear-box through reduction gearing (not described in detail). The feed of material from hopper 1 via openings 11 is regulated by slide dampers (Fig. 3, not shown) pivotally connected to the hopper and moveable by crank levers 13. The levers may be coupled for simultaneous operation, or may be operated separately. In the embodiment of Fig. 4 (not shown) the levers are connected to the dampers via rods of adjustable lengths and crank members.
