Abstract
Esta descrito un sistema y un metodo para detectar infecciones bacteriales en el tracto gastrointestinal. En una incorporacion, el sistema incluye una primera composicion separada de una segunda composicion. La primera composicion contiene urea en forma de polvo. La segunda composicion, por otro lado, contiene un indicador. Una biopsia de una muestra gastrica expuesta primero en contacto con la primera composicion y despues se coloca en la segunda composicion. La segunda composicion indica la presencia de una enzima que, a su vez, indica la presencia de la bacteria. En una incorporacion alterna de la presente invencion una biopsia de una muestra gastrica es puesta en contacto con una composicion unica. La composicion contiene urea en forma de polvo combinada con un indicador seco. Ademas de la urea y del indicador seco, la composicion puede tener tambien un agente en contra de la formacion de pastel. El sistema de la presente invencion puede incluir un recipiente para contener las composiciones. Una herramienta de manejo de especimen puede ser incluida en el recipiente para el manejo de una muestra de biopsia.
