Se describen composiciones aatibacterianas efectivas contra bacterias vegetativas tanto qram positivas como gram negativas mas bacterias formadoras de esporas gram positivas daninas, que incluyen metabolitos propionibacterianos en combinacion con dos o mas de los siguientes: un lantibiotico; una enzima litica; y un acido organico o su sal. Se proporcionan metodos de uso, asi como productos alimenticios tratados con estas composiciones antibacterianas.
