Abstract

La presente invencion describe un casete de expresion de genes en plantas, inducible químicamente, que comprende un primer promotor unido de manera operativa a una secuencia reguladora que se deriva del gen alcR, y codifica una proteína reguladora, y un promotor inducible, unido de manera operativa a un gen objetivo que codifica una proteína que es dañina para los insectos, o cuya expresion induce una vía metabolica que produce un metabolito que es dañino para los insectos, el promotor inducible es activado por la proteína reguladora en presencia de un inductor exogeno efectivo, con lo cual la aplicacion del inductor provoca la expresion del gen objetivo.
