Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a componentes de catalizador sólidos esféricos para la polimerización de olefinas, que comprenden un compuesto de titanio, soportado en un haluro de magnesio, que contiene más de un enlace Tihalógeno y que contiene opcionalmente grupos diferentes al halógeno en una cantidad menos que 0.5 moles por mol de Ti. Los compuestos sólidos esféricos de la invención estar caracterizados por tener un área superficial, medida por el método BET, de menos de 70 m2/g, una porosidad total, medida por el método de mercurio, mayor que 0.5 cm3/g y un radio de poro tal que por lo menos 50 tienen valores mayores que 800 A.
