Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para convertir alcoholes a aldehídos, en particular alcoholes grasos a aldehídos grasos, tal método utiliza un catalizador, en donde el método es capaz de proporcionar alta conversión de tal alcohol, por ejemplo en una gran escala, en donde la reacción y la purificación utilizan una cantidad relativamente pequeña de solvente, y en donde la purificación es capaz de eliminar el catalizador del producto aldehído.
