Abstract
En el presente documento se proporciona un sistema, aparato y método para la colada continua de metal, y más particularmente, a un mecanismo para controlar la forma de un molde de colada en frío directa para controlar dinámicamente un perfil de una colada en lingotes desde el molde durante el proceso de colada; las formas de realización pueden proporcionar un aparato para colar el material que incluye: la primera y segunda paredes laterales opuestas; la primera y segunda paredes de extremo que se extienden entre la primera y segunda paredes laterales, donde la primera y segunda paredes laterales opuestas y la primera y segunda paredes de extremo opuestas forman una cavidad del molde en forma generalmente rectangular; al menos una de la primera y segunda paredes laterales opuestas puede incluir dos o más regiones de contacto, donde cada una de las dos o más regiones de contacto puede configurarse para desplazarse con relación a una línea recta a lo largo de la pared lateral.
