Abstract
La invención se relaciona con una planta de lechuga (Lactuca saliva L.) que comprende un alelo de resistencia el cual confiere una resistencia de espectro amplio a Bremia Lactucae, en donde el alelo de resistencia se localiza en el grupo 9 de enlace, y alelo de resistencia el cual es como se encuentra en el genoma de plantas que crecen a partir de semillas de las cuales una muestra representativa ha sido depositada bajo el número de acceso NCIMB 42141. La invención proporciona además semillas, descendencia, material de propagación y productos alimenticios a partir de la planta.
