Abstract
Se proporciona un método para producir una partícula similar a picornavirus (PVLP) en una planta. El método comprende introducir un primer ácido nucleico y un segundo ácido nucleico en la planta, porción de la planta, o una célula de planta. El primer ácido nucleico comprende una primera región de regulación activa en la planta ligada operativamente a una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica un polipéptido de picornavirus. El segundo ácido nucleico comprende una segunda región de regulación activa en la planta y ligada operacionalmente a una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica una o más de proteasas de picornavirus. La planta, porción de la planta, o célula de planta se incuba bajo condiciones que permiten la expresión de los ácidos nucleicos, produciendo de esta manera la PVLP. También se proporciona una PVLP que comprende el polipéptido.
