Abstract

La presente se refiere, en general, al campo de la biología molecular vegetal y se relaciona con un método para mejorar, en plantas, varios rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento de importancia económica. Más específicamente, la presente se refiere a un método para mejorar rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento en plantas mediante la modulación de la expresión en una planta de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de flavodoxina en forma específica. La presente también se refiere a plantas que expresan un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de flavodoxina modulado por un promotor GOS2 de arroz, en donde las plantas tienen rasgos mejorados relacionados con el rendimiento, en comparación con las plantas de control. La presente también proporciona constructos útiles en los métodos de la presente, semillas.
