Abstract

Se proporciona un material de acero y un tubo de acero para pozo de petróleo que tienen un límite de elasticidad alto en un intervalo de 862 a menos de 965 MPa y también tienen una resistencia SSC excelente. El material de acero, de conformidad con la presente invención, que contiene una composición química que consiste, en % en masa, en C: de 0.25 a 0.50%, Si: de 0.05 a 0.50%, Mn: de 0.05 a 1.00%, P: 0.025% o menos, S: 0.0100 % o menos, Al: de 0.005 a 0.100%, Cr: de 0.30 a 1.50%, Mo: de 0.25 a 1.50%, Ti: de 0.002 a 0.050%, B: de 0.0001 a 0.0050%, N: de 0.002 a 0.010% y O: 0.0100% o menos, el resto son Fe e impurezas. El material de acero también contiene una cantidad de C disuelto dentro de un intervalo de 0.010 a 0.050 en % en masa.
