Abstract
La invención se refiere a métodos para pasteurizar y/o esterilizar productos en partículas (1), comprendiendo los siguientes pasos: a) generar un haz de electrones (5), b) pasteurizar y/o esterilizar los productos (1) por medio del haz de electrones (5) en una zona de tratamiento (3), en donde los electrones del haz de electrones (5) tienen una energía que se ubica en el rango de 80 keV a 300 keV, preferiblemente de 140 keV a 280 keV, con mayor preferencia de 180 keV a 260 keV, en donde los productos (1) son expuestos al haz de electrones (5) por un tiempo de tratamiento que se ubica en el rango de 5 ms a 25 ms, y en donde el haz de electrones (5) en la zona de tratamiento (3) tiene una densidad de corriente de electrones promedio que se ubica en el rango de 1015 s-1·cm-2 a 2,77·1015s-1·cm-2.
