Abstract
La presente divulgacion se refiere a articulos ceramicos porosos y a un metodo para la fabricacion de los mismos; los articulos ceramicos porosos tienen una porosidad (P) como una fraccion en un intervalo de aproximadamente 0.3 a aproximadamente 0.7; un factor de permeabilidad PQ > 0.025, en donde PQ es (Kvolumen)/(P·d502), Kvolumen es la permeabilidad del volumen en Darcy, y d50 es el tamano medio de poro en micrometros (µm); una tortuosidad en un intervalo de aproximadamente 1.8 a 3; y un diametro mediano de tamano de poro d50 en un intervalo de aproximadamente 10 µm a aproximadamente 35 µm; los artículos ceramicos porosos pueden tener una microestructura de perlas interconectadas que comprende perlas y conexiones de perlas, PQ es directamente proporcional al tamano de la perla, y en donde en una sección transversal aleatoria a traves del cuerpo, las perlas aparecen como porciones globulares.
