Abstract
Se proporciona un método para producir una resina de bio-PET derivada de sustancialmente un 100% de un recurso de biomasa, utilizando una materia prima derivada de un recurso de biomasa neutra en carbono tanto como sea posible en lugar de una materia prima derivada de un recurso de petróleo. El etilenglicol derivado de un recurso de biomasa se polimeriza con ácido tereftálico derivado de un recurso de biomasa en presencia de un catalizador que contiene un compuesto de aluminio o un compuesto de germanio.
