Abstract

La invención se refiere a compuestos quirales con dos átomos de fósforo ópticamente activos, catalizadores quirales de metales de transición que contienen estos compuestos como ligandos, un método para producir los compuestos P-quirales y métodos para síntesis asimétrica usando los catalizadores quirales de metales de transición. La invención se refiere específicamente a un método para producir un compuesto de carbonilo ópticamente activo mediante hidrogenación asimétrica de un compuesto de carbonilo a,ß-insaturado proquiral con hidrógeno en presencia de un catalizador de metal de transición ópticamente activo de acuerdo con la invención. Más específicamente, la invención se refiere a un método para la hidrogenación asimétrica de citral, y también a un método para producir mentol ópticamente activo.
