Abstract
Se describe un método y aparato para codificación de video que utiliza inter-predicción adaptativa. Se determina un proceso de inter-predicción seleccionado, en donde el proceso de inter-predicción seleccionado selecciona un filtro de inter-predicción de múltiples filtros de inter-predicción para el bloque actual dependiendo de primeros datos de pixel que comprenden pixeles reconstruidos cercanos (NRP) del bloque actual. El proceso de inter-predicción seleccionado puede determinarse además dependiendo de pixeles compensados en movimiento adicional (EMCP) alrededor de un bloque de referencia compensado en movimiento que corresponde al bloque actual. La distorsión entre los NRF y EMCP se puede utilizar para determinar el filtro de inter-predicción seleccionado. La distorsión se puede calcular utilizando una suma de diferencias absolutas o diferencias al cuadrado entre los NRP y los EMCP.
