소정의 서브블록 최소크기가 나타내는 높이 및 너비 중 적어도 하나와 제1 레이어 영상의 현재 블록에 대한 높이 및 너비 중 적어도 하나를 비교하여 상기 현재 블록의 서브블록 크기를 결정하고, 현재 블록의 서브블록 크기에 따라 상기 현재 블록으로부터 적어도 하나의 서브블록을 결정하고, 복호화된 제2 레이어 영상에서 상기 현재 블록에 대응하는 후보 블록을 결정하고, 제2 레이어 영상의 후보 블록으로부터 현재블록의 서브블록을 이용하여 후보 서브블록을 결정하고, 후보 블록에 포함된 후보 서브블록의 움직임 정보를 이용하여 현재 블록에 포함된 서브블록의 움직임 정보를 결정하고, 현재 블록에 포함된 서브블록의 움직임 정보를 이용하여 현재 블록의 예측 블록을 생성는 인터 레이어 비디오 복호화 방법이 개시된다.
