Abstract
La modalidad de la presente descripción describe un aparato y método de compresión de imagen el método comprende: adquirir una imagen objetivo a ser comprimida y dividir la imagen objetivo en por lo menos dos regiones a ser comprimidas; dividir la imagen objetivo en bloques de pixel de tamaños previamente establecidos y convertir los datos en cada bloque de pixel en datos de dominio de frecuencia; adquirir un cuadro de cuantificación correspondiente a cada región a ser comprimida, cuadros de cuantificación diferentes siendo correspondientes a diferentes escalas de cuantificación; cuantificación de diferentes regiones a ser comprimidas mediante el uso de cuadros de cuantificación con diferentes escalas de cuantificación; permitiendo que algunas de las regiones a ser comprimidas usen cuadros de cuantificación con escalas de cuantificación relativamente pequeñas, para retener información más detallada; y permitir que otras regiones a ser comprimidas usen cuadros de cuantificación con escalas de cuantificación relativamente grandes, para reducir grandemente el espacio de almacenamiento de imagen; utilizar el método de compresión de imagen para compresión de imagen, no solamente garantiza la calidad de imagen de algunas regiones, sino que también reduce grandemente el espacio de almacenamiento de imagen.
