Abstract
La presente descripción incluye la producción de una planta mutante resistente a un herbicida de la familia de fosfonometilglicina, por ejemplo, glifosato. Se proporcionan composiciones y métodos para editar una secuencia de nucleótidos de interés en una célula que usa un sistema polinucleótido guía/endonucleasa Cas, en donde la endonucleasa Cas se guía por un polinucleótido guía para reconocer y, opcionalmente, introducir una ruptura de cadena doble en un sitio objetivo específico en el genoma de una célula. La secuencia de nucleótidos de interés que se editará puede ubicarse dentro o fuera del sitio objetivo que se reconoce por una endonucleasa Cas.
