Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para producir metacrilato de metilo, el proceso comprende poner en contacto reactivos que comprenden metacroleína, metanol y un gas que contiene oxígeno, bajo condiciones de reacción en la presencia de un catalizador sólido que comprende paladio, bismuto y al menos un tercer elemento X, donde X se selecciona del grupo que consiste de P, S, Sc, V, Ga, Se, Y, Nb, Mo, La, Ce, y Nd, en donde el catalizador sólido comprende además un soporte seleccionado de al menos un miembro del grupo que consiste de sílice, alúmina, carbonato de calcio, carbón activo, óxido de zinc, óxido de titanio y óxido de magnesio.
