Abstract

El tema de la presente invención son novedosas cepas de levadura capaces de metabolizar xilosas y resistentes a por lo menos un inhibidor de fermentación, y también a un método para obtener las mismas; el tema de la presente invención también son las levaduras obtenidas al cultivar dichas cepas de levadura y el uso de las mismas para producir por lo menos un producto de fermentación, preferiblemente etanol, en particular en un medio de cultivo que comprende xilosa y por lo menos un inhibidor de fermentación.
