Abstract
Mezclas de cemento-SCM emplean los principios de partículas empacadas para incrementar la densidad de partículas empacadas y reducir el espaciado intersticial entre el cemento y las partículas de SCM. Las partículas empacadas reducen la cantidad de agua requerida para obtener una pasta de cemento que tiene un flujo deseado, disminuye la relación de agua-material cementoso (w/cm) e incrementa las resistencias tempranas y de largo plazo. Esto se puede realizar al proporcionar una fracción de cemento hidráulico que tiene una PSD reducida y por lo menos una fracción de SCM que tiene un tamaño de partícula medio que difiere del tamaño de partícula medio del cemento de PSD reducida por un múltiplo de 3.0 o más para producir una mezcla de cemento-SCM que tiene una densidad de partículas empacadas de por lo menos 57.0%.
