Abstract

El uso de 2-amino-2-metil-1-propanol (AMP) como un aditivo en una suspensión acuosa que contiene de 25 a 62% en volumen de por lo menos un material que contiene carbonato de calcio y que tiene un pH entre 8.5 y 11, para aumentar el pH de la suspensión por lo menos en 0.3 unidades de pH, siendo agregado el AMP a la suspensión en una cantidad de 500 a 15000 mg por litro de la fase acuosa de la suspensión, en donde el cambio en la conductividad de la suspensión se mantiene hasta dentro de 100 MS/cm/unidad de pH.
