Abstract
Se describe una composición de recubrimiento utilizable adecuadamente para formar una película de recubrimiento duro que se obtiene mediante la aplicación de la composición sobre un miembro permeable a la luz, tal como un lente de plástico que tiene un alto índice de refracción o un lente de plástico fotocrómico que tiene una función de desarrollo de color y un alto índice de refracción, y endurecimiento. Esta composición de recubrimiento presenta una resistencia a la intemperie extremadamente mejorada (prevención de la decoloración), mientras que mantiene un alto índice de refracción, una buena resistencia a las rayaduras y una excelente adhesión a una base óptica. Específicamente se describe una composición de recubrimiento, que comprende: micropartículas de óxido metálico que contienen óxido de titanio (A), junto con micropartículas de óxido metálico que contienen óxido de titanio (B), siempre que las micropartículas de óxido metálico que contienen óxido de titanio (A) y las micropartículas de óxido metálico que contienen óxido de titanio (B) hayan sido seleccionadas a través de una prueba de irradiación de luz específica y muestren propiedades diferentes; un compuesto organosilíceo que contiene grupo epoxi (C) tal como ?- glicidoxipropiltrimetoxisilano; agua (D); un solvente orgánico (E) tal como alcohol metílico; y un catalizador de endurecimiento (F) tal como acetilacetonato de aluminio o perclorato de magnesio, cada uno en una cantidad específica.
