Abstract

La invención se refiere al uso de un ácido nucleico adecuado para la reducción de la actividad enzimática de una invertasa para la configuración de un órgano almacenador de sacarosa de una planta, caracterizado porque la concentración de sacarosa se incrementa relativamente en comparación con la concentración de sacarosa de un órgano almacenador sin modificaciones del mismo genotipo, y en un estado de desarrollo comparable. El incremento en la concentración de sacarosa en X porcentaje de puntos puede conducirnos, por éste medio, a la obtención de un órgano almacenador de sacarosa modificado ó sin cambios, caracterizado porque en caso de una reducción del rendimiento de un órgano almacenador, la reducción máxima es de 5X porciento. La invención se referirá posteriormente a un método para incrementar el rendimiento de sacarosa en la producción agrícola de azúcar de remolacha y de caña caracterizado porque son usadas las plantas de azúcar de remolacha ó de caña, y la estructura genética de éstas es modificada para la reducción de la actividad enzimática de una invertasa.
