Abstract
La memoria descriptiva da a conocer métodos para obtener una planta genéticamente modificada que tiene potencial de producción incrementado en comparación con una planta control, que comprende los siguientes pasos: i) obtener una pluralidad de plantas por lo menos una de las cuales comprende en su genoma un polinucleótido heteorólogo, ii) identificar de la pluralidad de plantas una planta que tiene potencial de producción incrementado con respecto a la planta control y que comprende el polinucleótido heterólogo y iii) seleccionar la planta genéticamente modificada, donde el polinucleótido comprende una secuencia control de la transcripción' operativamente ligada a una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un agente que modifica la fosforilación del almidón endógeno y/o la degradación del almidón en la planta. En algunas realizaciones, la planta tiene glicosilasa endógena incrementada o digestibilidad incrementada en comparación con una planta control. En algunas realizaciones específicas, se modifica la fosforilación del almidón endógeno y/o la degradación del almidón modificando la expresión o actividad de una o más enzimas seleccionadas del grupo que consiste en a- amilasa (EC 3.2.1.1), ß-amilasa (EC 3.2.1.2), glucoamilasa (EC 3.2.1.3), almidón fosforilasa (EC2.4.1.1), glicosilasa (EC 3.1.33), sacarasa-isomaltasa (EC 3.2.10), amilomaltasa (EC 2.4.1.25), maltasa (EC 3.2.1.20), isoamilasa, y a-glucano, agua Diquinasa (GWD, EC 2.7.9.4).
