Abstract
La presente invenci?n provee un m?todo para la fabricaci?n de una mezcla de un furfural y un derivado de 5-(alcoximetil)furfural haciendo reaccionar un material inicial que contiene az?car de C5 y C6 con un alcohol en presencia de un catalizador ?cido, seguido por la hidrogenaci?n y/o eterificaci?n de la mezcla de furfural y 5-(alcoximetil)furfural para convertir el grupo funcional aldeh?do tanto de 5-(alcoximetil)furfural como de furfural en un grupo funcional alcoximetilo o un grupo funcional metilo.
