Abstract
Un ensamble de molde para formar un pistón y un método para moldear un pistón con el mismo, incluye un par de mitades de molde que se puede mover hacia y lejos entre si a lo largo de una trayectoria lineal que sustancialmente es perpendicular a un eje central longitudinal del pistón entre una posición acoplada para proporcionar por lo menos una porción de una cavidad de molde para formar una periferia exterior del pistón y una posición desacoplada para permitir la extracción del pistón de la cavidad de molde.
