Abstract
Los cuerpos finos de fluoruro de calcio o los residuos que comprenden cuerpos finos de fluoruro de calcio, por ejemplo residuos provenientes del tratamiento con óxido de calcio o carbonato de calcio para eliminar el HF o los fluoruros de aguas o gases residuales, por ejemplo provenientes de la producción de HF o fertilizantes, se pueden convertir en HF y sulfato de calcio por reacción con ácido sulfúrico en la forma de una suspensión. El óxido de calcio o carbonato de calcio sin reaccionar genera suficiente calor para la reacción endotérmica entre el fluoruro de calcio y el ácido sulfúrico de tal manera que no es necesario un aporte de calor externo.
