Abstract
En el campo de la biología molecular, un método para mejorar varios rasgos de las plantas con relación al rendimiento, importantes en el campo económico. En forma más específica, un método para mejorar los rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento en plantas mediante la modulación de la expresión en una planta de un ácido nucleico que codifica una Proteína de Mejoramiento del Rendimiento (YEP). La YEP se selecciona de una Enzima de Procesamiento Vacuolar (EPV) o un polipéptido del tipo CCA1 o un polipéptido del tipo SAP o un polipéptido Factor 1 Promotor del Rendimiento de Semillas (SYPF1) o un polipéptido ribulosa-1,5-bisfosfato carboxilasa/oxigenasa (RuBisCo) activasa (RCA). Además, plantas que tienen la expresión modulada de un ácido nucleico que codifica tal YEP, plantas que tienen rasgos mejorados relacionados con el rendimiento con respecto a plantas control. También ácidos nucleicos que codifican YEP desconocidas hasta ahora, y construcciones que comprenden los mismo, útiles en la realización de los métodos de la invención.
