Abstract
Una fibra optica revestida incluye una fibra optica que tiene un revestimiento superior curable por luz ultravioleta (UV) y una capa de deslizamiento dispuesta entre la fibra optica y el revestimiento superior. El revestimiento superior se puede separar mecanicamente de la fibra optica y se puede colorear para la identificacion de la fibra optica. En una modalidad, la capa de deslizamiento y el revestimiento superior tienen ambos temperaturas de transicion vitrea predeterminadas que estan dentro de aproximadamente 15 degree Cuna de otra para mejorar las caracteristicas mecanicas. La capa de deslizamiento puede ser esencialmente del mismo color que el revestimiento superior para la identificacion de la fibra optica despues que se quita el revestimiento superior o puede ser incolora. En modalidades adecuadas, la capa de deslizamiento puede incluir un poli-tetra-fluoro-etileno (PTFE), una silicona y/o un agente de dispersion micronizados para mejorar el funcionamiento de desprendimiento del revestimiento superior a traves de un rango de temperaturas.
