Ironic that you call me a child and then proceed to throw a tantrum, I never said you needed MAL to learn how to rate anime, I said MAL assists you by assigning a word to the rating to help people gauge how they feel about a show.
What does OPM season 1 have to do with anything? People misuse the rating system, obviously, but that doesn't mean that an anime can't be a 4 or even a 1 (although a genuine 1 is rare). There are people who give many shows a 10 just because they enjoyed it or like the source material, does that mean we should never rate any anime above an 8? Your logic is flawed.
You don't get to attack people in your signature and then complain when people comment about it on your profile. Did you ask every person why they rated something a 4 or lower? No, you didn't. My comment was fair and in no way a personal attack as well.

If you've watched as much anime as your list claims and you don't understand how an anime could be a 4 or lower then it's you who doesn't understand how to rate anime.
What makes your signature even more amusing is that MAL actually guides you with its scoring system, 5 is average. When something is average it means that it's the norm, it's unremarkable but not necessarily bad.
I'm not going to pretend I'm completely unbiased in my ratings but to outright refuse to rate things lower than a 4 on principle is absurd.

This is build-up, there's a little more to go. Then the "spit" starts hitting the fan. Once, twice, 3 times? Massive developments that are seamlessly woven into the story. Lots of "Ah ha! That explains it... but opens more questions as well" moments.
