Hi, just wanted to let you know that I agree with your review for the 2nd season of Dandadan. There's something off about it and it doesn't have the same feeling or excitement as the first season

I watched the first season about 2 years ago. I really liked it, but i've been hesitating since season two had a different studio working on it. I don't think I'm gonna watch the season 2 cuz i also don't like school arcs. Thanks btw

Ofc there are animes like in my opinion ''Daily life in immortal king'' i watched first few eps and it was so trash for me i will for sure never return to it again. Also i think just going by your feelings/mind when picking shows is a better way to not get burnt out or getting a ''need to catch up on everything'' feeling, I watched anime since like 2017 so in reality i have no right telling you anything and im a poser compared to you, but i have learnt to only pick animes whatever my mind wants to and it could be bingable/seasonals. I know a bunch of people who think way more about ''what to watch next'' instead of just clicking the play button. For an example spooky month comming soon and the animes that have been on my mind for weeks/months to watch during October are Hellsing Ultimate and Soul eater which i still havent seen but the fact those 2 have never left my mind means something good while my friend overthinks too much on what to watch in future just to not watch anything in the end lol

I dont think thats a really good idea, there are a bunch of animes where i started to like only after because i gave it a second chance and it could happen to you, i wouldnt myself decide to never watch an anime again after a 1st episode i thought wasnt good unless i thought it was really really bad and not for me. And you have animes where i rewatched it years later or finished because i thought i watched it like an idiot back then and everything went over my head and it made me finish and like the shows even more.

Not saying im against tracking which shows you have dropped but when i saw your list having 200+ and some being just 1 episodes i had to ask lol.

I do agree the 2D sprites have more charm to them than the new 3D models... I actually tried crafting my own 3D models based on Disgaea before 6 came out, and I find theirs are at least better than what I started off with 😅

Tho that's not the main reason why I'm not all too hyped about the newer games, it's more like since the fifth game even, it just generally looks less like Disgaea, and more like a different game series altogether. Plus the pricing for 6 and 7 actually looks pretty obscene compared with earlier games. I can't say what I think about the new Phantom Brave just yet, but I reckon I like Marona's original style a little better.

I'm also with you on the original Disgaea 1 cast being the most iconic out of them, and it's something I've been meaning to replay for a while now. I think 4 is best when it comes to story, while 3 is second best when it comes to characters, third with story (that's also the one I've played the most overall). I've also considered playing Makai Kingdom again since I bought it on Steam; I did play the original version a while back, but didn't get very far with it. I decided to watch all the cutscenes for it on YouTube so I'm familiar with the story at least ^^

Same, I think it was something like 12 years ago when I got introduced to the DS version of the first game. Played through just about every game except 6 and 7 since then ^^

Which one would you say you like best? For me, I think it would be Disgaea 4
