i'll probably elaborate when i'm done with the show since i've been told that the last few episodes are its peak? and obviously i'm not done so it may or may not actually be the best seasonal this year.
Yeah yeah the manga lol, I didn't read it back then cuz the full translation was only in French, but they released the whole thing with Spanish translation so I read it, def worth the hype, it is really good
Nah, it has been my fav anime for long time now, that's my third rewatch I think, I used to have another account here on MAL but I deleted it back then lol, I love Haibane is such a good anime, but in general I've stopped watching anime since 2023 I think, last thing was Dousei Jidai which I absolutely loved.
that's amazing, you're lucky if you're able to see it on the big screen! where i'm from anime only became a big thing in recent years and they don't screen them in cinemas very often. that being said the only anime i had a chance to see is csm movie - big screen does make the experience a lot better i would say.
as for your recommendations, thank you sm! haibane renmei is actually already on my ptw, so i'll definitely watch it next alongside with your other recs
and yeah, this was my first time watching both of those titles, without any spoilers beforehand, too. i really enjoyed them. i'm currently on the lookout for something similar i can watch :)
Regarding Fujita, honestly all of his works are worth reading, so I'd say you could either check his most famous work (Karakuri Circus) or his first one (Ushio to Tora). But please do note that most of his manga start really slow and gradually pick up the pace. Though people do say that Souboutei Kowasubeshi is an exception to that. But I haven't read it, so I can't confirm if it's true. And, on another note, Silver Mountain is shaping up incredibly well... It starts very quickly, with both protagonist being wildly powerful characters in their own universe, which is a first time between his manga, I'd say. 24 chapters translated and I'm already very hooked...
Btw, nice seeing you read Flight. I find it absolutely stellar.
