I began watching anime in early 2018. I don't actually remember the timeline of when I watched anything, but certain evidence leads me to believe it was at some point during the Winter season of that year. While I made my MyAnimeList account in May of 2020, I didn't start seriously using it until August 15 of that year, after lost access to the place I previously kept track of anime.
I have not watched airing seasonals for years. In fact, I don't think I've completed a single TV anime that's aired since 2022, and I have little familiarity with what has come out in that time. Anymore, I pretty much just watch old-ish anime. I also no longer score the anime I watch. After watching a certain show, I realized I had absolutely no desire to assign a numerical value to it, and I haven't scored since. I find it's a much better experience to watch a show without thinking about what number I'll be giving it at the end, even if it doesn't make for as good a list. Some of the scores that already existed may still reflect how I feel about an anime, but I wouldn't recommend sorting my list by score, as it would leave some things out. In fact, I would ignore my scores as much as possible.
My anime list is somewhat organized, at least the completed list. The accuracy of how I feel about the anime and the details surrounding them is much more accurate for more recent entries. I would recommend sorting it primarily by finish date, or just leaving it in alphabetical. My manga list is a disorganized, unformatted mess. Ignore all tagging in it. I used to keep up with a lot of different running titles, but fell off most of them and haven't bothered going back through and dropping or finishing them.
At the beginning of 2023, I started reading books. The kind without comic panels. I was already watching anime at a slower rate than I used to, but ever since then I've been watching anime and reading manga even slower.
