BTW, since you watch almost all anime every season (insane dedication 😭), I’m curious as to what genres do you personally enjoy the most?
And on the flip side, which genres or themes do you think are lacking lately and deserve more production each season?
I feel like we get a flood of safe isekai and romcoms every time, but psychological / experimental stuff or strong seinen dramas feel rarer nowadays.
Yeah, in the latest Roll Over and Die episode, we saw Flum finally meeting Eterna and she learns the truth about her being sold into slavery. Watching the Hero’s party slowly fall apart is so satifying ngl. I’m really looking forward to her confronting more of them. I also heard that Flum eventually develops her own special reversal magic with help from Eterna, which sounds insanely cool. Watching her slowly become OP is gonna be such a good payoff.
And yeah, Constance is growing on me a lot. She’s clearly trying to step out of her comfort zone and fully commit to helping Scarlett now. Also… everyone needs a friend like Kate. I feel like Constance is eventually gonna trust her and let her in on a bit, she would become a strong ally.
And got it, so OG Trigun → Stampede → Stargaze. Thanks for that 😅
Is Trigun: Stargaze standalone? Or do I need to watch the prequels first? And is the watch order linear, or does it get messy like Fate with multiple branches?
As for underrated shows this season, I think Roll Over and Die is criminally underrated. That 6.64 score on MAL feels way too harsh, it easily deserves at least a 7.5 imo. The animation can be a bit weak at times, sure, but the mix of dark fantasy and GL is handled surprisingly well, and the GL aspect doesn’t feel forced or cringe at all.
I also recently started The Holy Grail of Eris after a friend recommended it as an underrated pick, and I’m really enjoying it so far. The politics, mystery, and world-building are getting pretty engaging.
Have you tried either of these yet?
I hope you had the best celebration :)
