Personally, I’d say it’s the best out of the Cutie Honey series. It actually does everything you want it to do. It’s satisfying, especially finally seeing Cutie Honey fight Panther Zora.

Twitter is just a shit show in general really. It's usually the shonens and a lot of mainstream stuff that goes in the trending section. Haven't heard of Utena in a long time.

That defintely describes Evangelion fans. Twitter is pratically their stronghold. Say bad things about Shinji and those jack offs will viciously savage you. Least with Sailor Moon fans you can say bad thing about Chibiusa and they won't want to light you on fire.

Don't say demeaning things about Misato, Asuka and Rei and they'll want to light your corpse on fire.

If one thing I have experienced is that shojo and female anime fans are chill even there but the thing is Twitter warps and brings out the worst in everyone.

That seems to be the thing I notice with them and female anime fans in general or at least certain fandoms. Their liking for their favorite anime seem to be pure where so many parts of the anime community would have their foundations crumble if the brand they worship isn't constantly being successful.

It's funny as hell to see the whole Frieren and Jojo fisaco when the people don't even know that Ashita no Joe is higher than Vinland Saga and Legend of the Galactic Heroes is higher rated than Code Geass. If you want confirmation bias, MAL isn't really the place that will give it to you.

With all that said, it does seem that a lot of female anime fans don't really seem to care.

This might be a super weird thing to say but I'm interested in gathering evidence regarding this. Female anime fans do seem to be noticeablely more chill and relaxed and less insecure and narcisstic compared to male anime fans.

Sailor Moon obviously appeals to young women but throughout my years in the anime community, I've never seen anyone cut promos on how "awesome" and "deep" it is. No one has ever said, "Sailor Moon is deeper than you think". They seem to know it's a dumb female empowerment fantasy show. Add to that apparently SM wasn't even super liked by anime critics of it's time but they never seem to be bothered by it at all. They enjoy it anyway. I greatly respect how much they don't need to be babied and want confirmation bias like a drug. It seems you have to be an annoying supervillain to actually get on their bad side.

This also extends to Madoka Magica. I don't like the series but I've never gotten into flame wars with it's fans once. It seems to be guys who go on about how "deep" it is and even then it's still pretty tame compared to the stuff I saw recently like with Jojo and Frieren. It could be my sample size but I don't even see Madoka Magica people cut promos about how awesome it is by comparison to so many other shows in the anime community.

Magical girl and shojo fans aren't even very vocal at all. Once again could be my sample size but considering how much I loathe the internet for using "sales milestones", "critic reviews", and using anything other than their own rethertoric to sell you on the media they like, I can't help but find this female side of the anime community to be very interesting.

Hi, sorry to bother you. I wanted to message you to ask about Cutie Honey F. I was just curious, does Honey ever actually fight Panther Zora in it?
Civilwarfare101 Jan 13, 8:19 AM
Every fandom does but anime fans are so upfront about the whole thing. I don't even think they have any monicrum of self awareness about it.
Civilwarfare101 Jan 13, 7:45 AM
If there is one thing that always hated about the anime community is how they value animation above all else. I always find it bizarre how they find writing to be secondary. It seems older anime fans to some extent value the latter but every time a new show comes out, it's usually because it "looks" nice.

Talk about Demon Slayer and the first thing someone will mention is how pretty everything looks. You got to wonder if that franchise would be half as popular if it was entirely rendered in CGI. I could say that with a lot of modern popular shows really.

Got to wonder if Frieren can maintain it's popularity if Madhouse jumped off that like they did with One Punch Man.

I can't help but think of George Lucas when he said, "special effects without a story is a pretty boring thing".

Bad animation can be distracting but it's not like good animation can save a bad story and characters.
