It was an interesting anime to the say the least. I can't say I'm that conflicted on Hikaru's character but I understand the grief that poor Yoshiki is going through. I'm interested for season 2 to come out and see where this whole thing goes, but I'm not sure if I'll be picking up the manga. Horror isn't my favourite genre and I don't want to make getting spooked a hobby of mine 😭
I'm always looking out for anything historical/mythology based, bonus if it has martial arts in it. Next season is stacked with a bunch of anime I'd be interested in so at least I won't be getting bored.
Oooh so lucky, hope you get some time to play it. Do let me know your thoughts on it.
Honestly, not much. I finally got around to reading tgcf (currently on volume 3) and I'm playing piofiore. From anime, I'm kinda running out on things to watch. I finally got around to watching The Summer Hikaru Died but between than and both my seasonals ending, I have no idea what to watch next
Happy holidays! Some fun otomes did find their way to me haha; I recently started Collar x Malice and on the recent winter sales I snatched Piofiore and Birushana. I'll be heavily busy with them with the new year.
Oh man, that sucks real bad but I hope you get it on time once it's out. I whishlisted it on the eShop but it'll probably be a while until I get to play it :(
I personally love the droopy sleeves, they're so long and it's fun to wear them.
On an average day I'm out of the house for at least 8 hours, Monday is the worst one since I have a long break between my two classes so it's closer to 12-13 hours. Had the major not been so fun I wouldn't have been able to do it.
I'll definitely be playing Piofiore at some point; I need to know what the hype is all about! I've preclaimed Nicola but who knows who will catch my eye when I do finally get it
Yeah, we need dull animes just to relax from the hecticness of life. I either way relax with anything I watch after hours at uni, luckily I don't have classes every day but the days I do I have 6 hours of lectures; talk about exhaustion.
I was leaning towards Piofiore simply because I'm curious for one of the LIs, Yang. I know he's a controversial fave and I just need to know what this man has done to be so love/hated.
PS. Here's me with the cosplay on to judge for yourself
It is a really sweet anime though not one I would typically watch. I just needed something dull after watching back to back insanity lmao.
I can already see myself missing uni tbf. I've managed to make a group of friends and we are so far having the time of our lives together, we've even made plans to go to the con together! All of them are really fun and kind people so I hope our friendship lasts.
Omg yes, I had forgotten about Hakuoki SSL for a second, dreams do in fact come true haha. Can't wait for the sales to come and purchase a game or two. I haven't really decided which otome game I want to play first but it's between Piofiore, Olympia Soiree and Collar x Malice
I'm currently watching a BL, Sasaki to Miyano, while I'm trying to find a long series to keep me busy lmao. Though uni has me so preoccupied that I feel like I'm dead inside, and it's only the first semester....
In other news, my dad bought me a (used) switch for my birthday so I can't wait to get my hands on all of the otome of my dreams!
I was thinking of either buying a Maomao cosplay or something from Mo Dao Zu Shi though I'm still in the middle of deciding what would suit me. I want it for Athenscon next month so I really need to order it already.....
As an idea I really like horror but I can never get myself not to get absolutely terrified and piss my pants. I've really tried but I can never sleep at night after I watch something horror.
Yeah, these season's anime look kinda meh, hope the next one is better
Sounds so good! I want to go to Japan now and buy lots and lots of merch haha as well as eat lots of delicious food. Right now I'm saving up money to buy a cosplay, though I'm a bit nervous because I've never bought one before.
There's a lack of horror anime out there which sucks for the fans of the genre. There's so much potential but alas:( But yeah, Shiki was really good.
Watching Banana Fish was definitely an experience, it was an absolute rollecoaster of emotions though I reccommend it only if you're feeling mentally well. You need to really be ready for it. I'm familiar with Studio Key through their visual novels so going into Angel Beats I knew exactly the format I'll be getting. It was really nice, the songs were indeed really good, especially the OP. I haven't checked out any other seasonal either, none of them really catch my attention if I'm being honest.
Yeah, I can't believe the first month of uni is over already. I've been having a decent time, the subjects are interesting but a little difficult considering they're very much history based. My schedule is really lax so there are days where I don't even have lectures haha. I've also found some people to talk to and call friends I guess, we're a small department though compared to the others.
Shiki was really good, I really liked the very vague ending and the moral dilemma though I think the gore of the last few episodes was a bit much for me (worst mistake was watching it while eating lunch).
After finishing Shiki I dove deep and watched Banana Fish which....I would call more of a mental torture than fun (though I really enjoyed it), I watched Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun with some friends which helped me relax from whatever was going on in Banana Fish. Most recently I finished Angel Beats and Mo Dao Zu Shi which I absolutely loved (not an anime but still) and I'm currently looking into watching Heaven Official's Blessing. From seasonals I'm keeping up with Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi which I think is decent so far.
That sounds really cool! Our cinema has this nice thing where every month they air an old movie, that's how I watched LoTR in cinemas haha. I can't wait to see which one they put on next month.
Yeah, it feels like pre-covid years were a million years ago, it's insane. I always wanted to go watch a musical but I've never gone around to doing it:( I have put a goal to go to the theater more frequently now (especially with the major I'm in lmao). The original version of the song is really good but the greek version is just epic in my mind, probably laguage bias.
I one the other hand I'm mostly interest in more recent history, 15th century and onwards. I do enjoy ancient history too but learning about the history closest to us really is an eye opener for me.
That must have been hard on you, you didn't deserve that treatment:( I went through a light depression during quarantine which wrecked me a bit academic wise. I had just gotten out of a very stressful situation and it was just extremely wrong timing. I stopped really caring about school because online classes were really not helping me-I'm a person who learns more efficiantly in class-and unfortunately I never managed to get fully back on track. Not to mention that my symptoms of neurodivergency became more obvious yet no one really did anything about that either. High school was just a really meh time for me so hopefully uni will be better. The problem I always had was I was never fully interested in any subject besides English and I also had a hard time studying alone.
I really hope that too but public transport is always packed in the early hours. And since my uni is at the center of Athens, commuting may take longer than 1 hour depending on the traffic that day. I'm not really looking forward to any of that.
Admittedly, I'm not a fan of the horror genre but Shiki's horror is manageable for me. It's a really interesting anime, more on the slow paced side but that just makes it even better. The only scene I almost gagged was in that episode where the doctor was doing the experiments on his shiki tuned wife-medical gore is way off limits for me. Other than that I've been having a lot of fun and can't wait to see where everything culminates. Bonus points for Megumi's, Sunako's and Mrs Kirishiki's fashion; they're all fashion icons to me and I want to rob their closets. Where do they shop at!?
