Synopsis

Masato, a son of the Tendou family, is meant to marry Ran Houjou, the daughter of a baron. There's just one problem: she's a fake. The real Ran has fled after hearing that few make it out of the Tendou family alive. In her place is a young woman who says she will die if it means saving someone else's life.

Tendou ke Monogatari is quite an unique and interesting read. It’s based on Meiji restoration period if I’m not wrong. I’m a huge fan of historical genres and am always attracted to stories from the Meiji Taisho and Showa period for some reason. And if you’re looking for some historical shoujo manga from these periods definitely give it a try.

If you like Fruit Basket but want more drama this is the manga for you!
The main lead when first reading it reminded me of Tohru but as I continue to read, her true character came out.
She has a good heart and is a hint of suicidal since she longs for her grandfather but nonetheless, she is an interesting character and I like how when progressing in the manga she gets more mature and develops as a character.
The main romantic interest is a charming and cold man with a dark aura, but when with the protagonist has a soft spot for.
