| Seele Randomly deciding that Gendo, who has been their own pawn until the last episode, is an enemy and must be taken out. Really, either you watch this as a rendition in anime form of the storyless tokusatsus Anno loved and still loves to this same day or you complain constantly about anything related to the plot making zero sense to speak of. And it still makes zero sense. I mean, Seele are so secretive that they literally tell to their own puppet organization (Nerv) that they're building new evas, with the idea that they will use those evas to retake back Eva 01...I can only justify it as a remaigining of Shocker from Kamen Rider creating enemies to take back the Kamen Rider himself, otherwise it makes zero sense to speak of. For the rest, 1) I wonder if Anno was poking fun at Kunihiko Ikuhara when he made Kaworu, the whole Yaoi thing seems to make fun of Ikuhara's work in SM and 2) 2 minutes of still animation with pompous and overblown (albeit good) music in the background are still 2 minutes of still animation, no matter the music used. Maybe, just maybe don't spend money on the music and spend it on the animation next time? |
