| Possibly the darkest episode by far. It wears the mask of seemingly cheerful identity, but if you pay attention to the detail, it is just sad and disturbing. And the fact that the kid got involved in all the BS is heartbreaking. Satoshi Kon is a fucking genius. |
| Great Ep. probably the best of the series so far. I was able to catch on right at the end. I'm guessing the two guys died from the sleeping pills and the girl died when the building got demolished? Or maybe they died from the nooses and she starved to death in the woods? Def. worth a rewatch. Also, I have never laughed as hard at an anime as when the guy jumped in front of the train before them. What amazing dark comedy. |
| ok so what i understood was that the three of em actually managed to kill themselves? probably during their first attempt inhaling monoxide since one of em actually saw the 'ghost' of the dude who jumped in the traintrack... idk and the fact they were able to chase shonen bat for so long might have something to do with it, in other cases he would just disappear... |

| Easily the best ep by far even though it's tethering as a filler. great deconstruction of finding life in death even though it's a very touchy subject. the character animation was superb, really hit that emotional core required to quantity reality & obscurity |

| Rewatching it again after 4 years, yup, it's still a banger. Darkest episode in the series too, which is saying something. Great chemistry between characters and it handled the subject without making it preachy or drab (and with a splash of black comedy too). Best episode by far |
